Paul D. Scott

Paul has found the fountain of youth—his camera. In fact, ever since he was 17 and a photograph of his was exhibited at the Corcoran National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. he hasn’t aged at all. Even after learning the extremely technical and cold definition of a professional photographer at Rochester Institute of Technology (R.I.T.) in New York, Paul didn’t get one gray hair in his ponytail. Soon after graduation, Paul was invited to be a creative consultant for Oliviero Toscani in Venice (and we’ve all heard the rumors about that guy). Still, under all the pressure, Paul’s skin was as smooth as a baby’s butt. Since moving to Amsterdam, “the Dutch Venice,” Paul has been fortunate enough to work with Kid’s Wear, RE-, and Volkskrant magazine as well as a slue of other well-known publications. Several advertising and design agencies, including Publicis, Mother, and Wieden + Kennedy have called on him to help create campaigns for Nike, Mtv, and ABN-AMRO to name a few. His last group exhibition was in honor of his awarded portrait book, “Do Normal” (Dyslexic David 2006) now sells in the Museum of Modern Art as well as various Dutch museums and better bookstores. Of course, only by working with this Paul can you truly understand the special relationship between a 158-year old photographer and his camera.
