Mark Steffelaar - docent

Mark Steffelaar wilde reeds op zijn twaalfde jaar fotograaf worden en heeft zijn opleiding gehad bij de school voor Fotografie en Fototechniek in Den Haag wat nu de KABK is. Werkt sinds 1980 in de reklame-en studiofotografie. Heeft veel culinaire fotografie gedaan voor TIP, Allerhande, Douwe Egberts en verschillende verpakkingsbureaus. Vele bedrijven en reclamebureaus behoren tot zijn klantenkring. Werkt sinds 1994 uitsluitend digitaal maar heeft na de opleiding alles op grootformaat dia gefotografeerd. Tijdens zijn opleiding was er al een wens om later andere nieuwe fotografen gebruik te laten maken van de ervaring die hij in de loop der jaren heeft opgebouwd.

It has always been Mark Steffelaar’s ambition to become a professional photographer. Mark as studied photography at the Academy for Photography and Photo technique located in The Hague (The Netherlands).
Since 1980 he has been working as an advertisement- en studio photographer for a number of leading (food) industries like Douwe Egberts and a number of culinary magazines.
Mark’s focus area is the industry, Art directors and advertisements agencies.
Starting in 1980 with studio camera slides, in 1994 Mark switched over to digital techniques and has Mastered both production and Postproduction over the years.
The ambition to share his experience and knowledge with (novice) photographers has always been there since Mark graduated from the academy.
