Hello there,
Although it's still winter in Amsterdam, we are already planning our photography summer courses 2008.
Also we would like to give you more information about our new location and why we had to postpone the start of our Full 3 Year Course. |

Summertime in Amsterdam
English Photography Week Courses 2008
Photography is an extremely diverse medium. Chemical and digital photography currently live side by side with each other and often merge.
We run courses and workshops for beginners and experienced photographers alike.
Five day workshops cover areas from basic camera knowledge for beginners to digital capture with camera movements for professionals.
The Darkroom Course introduces students to the fundamentals of black & white printing in our fully equipped darkroom.
Our Digital Imaging Courses start from introductory Adobe Photoshop CS3 courses through to advanced Photoshop courses CS3 and Lightroom 1,3. Covering colour management, workflow, compositing and retouching.
The Basic Photography Course takes one week and is an ideal course to learn more about your camera, composition, Amsterdam and how to start creating your own portfolio.
Our courses are presented in a relaxed atmosphere where student involvement is encouraged, feedback is important, and the instructors are always available to answer questions. All our courses include supervised photography on location in or near Amsterdam.
We hope to see you in Amsterdam next summer!!

Our Full 3 Year Course was supposed to start in the autumn of 2008, but unfortunatly we had to postpone it. We had so many students applying for our programs that we were completely overbooked. That's why we first had to start looking for a new location, a bigger studio, and we had to expand our staff.
Now we are ready again to handle all the applications and to provide the high quality we are so known for.
Your first year establishes a solid foundation in photographic craft and visual communications. You will be trained in camera/flash basics and usage as well in output techniques (traditional and digital) as well as the history of photography & how to analyse images. The second part of the first year will cover studio photography (packshot and portrait), graphic design, lifestyle photography.
Starting at 19th September 2008.
We limit class sizes to twelve to enable all the students to fully participate in the course. Unless we state otherwise in the course description, we provide basic materials and equipment, and will send you details of what you should bring with you to the course. Tea and coffee are included, just like our readers. We also work with an adviced booklist. At the end of the first and second year you'll have to show us that you are capable of becoming a professional photographer. That's why you are tested in our so-called "Project Phase". You will get six professional orientated tasks and after 2 months, if you succeeded you'll get a certificate. To take a look at the first year program, click here.
